Work with me

Understand what is driving your numbers — and where to improve.

I help independent healthcare practice owners identify avoidable costs, understand revenue and capacity, and turn financial and operational reports into practical decisions.

With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership — including a $14M ambulatory surgery center and a 13-location dental group — I bring an operator’s perspective to the business behind patient care.

Rising costs make clear financial decisions essential.

84%

of responding medical groups reported higher year-to-date operating costs than a year earlier.

MGMA poll · June 23, 2026 [1]
~11%

average increase reported by respondents whose costs had risen.

65%

of responding practice leaders named labor as their largest cost increase by percentage.

These pressures make it essential to understand which expenses support patient care and sustainable growth, where resources are underused, and which services contribute to profitability.

Industry context: the 2026 poll had 251 applicable responses; the 2025 poll had 294. These findings describe respondents’ experiences and are not ORYNT client results or projections.

How I help strengthen your practice

01

Reduce avoidable expenses

I review recurring expenses, vendor services, purchasing patterns, and workflows to identify unnecessary spending, duplicated services, and preventable rework — weighing the effect on patient care, staff workload, and daily operations.

You receive: a prioritized opportunity list with estimated impact, assumptions, effort, and next step for each item.

02

Improve service profitability

A busy schedule can still leave an owner uncertain about profitability. We examine collections alongside the staff time, supplies, and other costs of delivering each service — including immunotherapy economics for allergy and asthma practices.

You receive: a clearer view of service economics, with data gaps and cost-allocation assumptions identified.

03

Make better use of available capacity

I review appointment utilization, scheduling patterns, no-shows, and bottlenecks, then evaluate improvements against demand, staffing, clinical requirements, and the cost of delivering additional care.

You receive: practical capacity recommendations and a way to monitor whether changes work.

04

Improve revenue-cycle visibility

I help you interpret collections trends, aging receivables, and denial and payment reports, then set priorities for your billing team or vendor.

You receive: revenue-cycle priorities, clear ownership of next steps, and a manageable set of measures.

05

Keep clean, decision-ready books

Reliable analysis starts with reliable books. I reconcile accounts, categorize income and expenses in a healthcare-specific chart of accounts, and close each month so your reports reflect how the practice actually runs.

You receive: a monthly close, P&L, balance sheet, and a short owner summary — ready for your CPA at tax time.

Illustrative example

What a modest improvement could mean

The work is to identify whether a realistic opportunity exists in your practice, what it would cost to achieve, and how to measure the result.

Annual revenue$2,000,000
Operating profit at 10% margin$200,000
Operating profit at 11% margin$220,000
Additional annual profit$20,000

Illustrative calculation only, not a client result or promised outcome. A one-percentage-point margin increase differs from a 1% relative increase in profit. Any projected benefit must account for fees, implementation costs, timing, and other changes in the business.

About

Meet Laina Roberts, MBA

I am the founder of ORYNT Performance, with more than 20 years of healthcare administration and operations experience across medical, dental, and ambulatory surgery settings — including leading a $14M ambulatory surgery center and operations across a 13-location dental group.

My background includes executive leadership, financial oversight, practice growth, operational reporting, vendor coordination, and launching new services. I understand how decisions about staffing, scheduling, purchasing, and workflows affect both the people doing the work and the financial health of a practice.

I created ORYNT to give independent practice owners clearer information and practical tools. Through consulting, I work directly with owners to connect their numbers to decisions they can act on.
